Leeds City Council has received a planning application from Highways England for the removal of the existing boundary fence and its replacement with an acoustic noise barrier. Details can be found here.
We support the creation of the acoustic noise barrier for the long term benefit for residents. However, the proposed colour of RAL6002 'Leaf Green' for the barrier is overbearing and is in our view as local councillors, not acceptable. We will therefore be asking Leeds City Council to ask for a different colour/shade. Subject to the reply from Highways England, we will then decided whether we need to formally object to the application until the colour is altered.
