Noise Pre & Post M621 Junctions 6 to 7 Noise Barrier Installation

Highways England have completed an assessment of the impact on noise (measured in decibels/dB) of their noise barrier to see how successful its introduction has been. For context, a 3 dB difference is the equivalent of moving twice as far away from a noise source of before and a 6 dB difference results in a perceived noise reduction of approximately of a third. The two locations monitored with in Hunslet and Riverside Ward are detailed below.
