What should have been a straightforward planning application to allow us to improve the current hard surface basket ball area into an almost full size Multi-Use-Games-Area (MUGA) has been signifyingly delayed for over a year, initially due to the pandemic and now by ongoing requests of the Leeds Planning Authority to address concerns they have over drainage and flood prevention which maybe caused by the larger footprint of the improved MUGA.
The application is now with Yorkshire Water who have requested a 21 day consultation period for them to review the plans to address any drainage concerns.
It is expected Yorkshire Water should make their views know by the 1/10/21. Assuming they have no objection(s) to the proposed solution - Leeds Parks and Countryside will request the final grant of planning permission and finally schedule the works to start.
