VOTE WRAY

Cllr Paul Wray for Hunslet, Beeston, Leeds City Centre and Riverside

We have faced significant challenges over the last five years. The pandemic changed everything, and I've spent the last two years helping us catch up on the three years we lost.

We still face challenges, and as the cost-of-living bites - life is becoming harder for more people.

Now, more than ever, our communities need a Councillor who is tried and tested.

I've proven again and again I will fight for our communities and invest in its people and assets.

I deliver on my promises and will continue to do so if you grant me that privilege.

VOLUNTEER

Thank you for contacting me. I'll be intouch soon.

ABOUT

I moved into our community when I was 18 and have lived and worked here for the majority of the last 18 years and I'm driven by a strong sense of duty, and I believe it is more important to do the right thing than to be popular.

I've worked in a warehouse, on a shop floor and in a call centre. I was the first in my family to attend university. I know the meaning of hard work and I use these experiences to guide my relentless drive to work for local people.

I'm actively involved with community groups and organisations across the ward. Here are just a few examples:

  • Governor Hunslet Carr Primary School

  • Governor Park View Primary Academy

  • Governor Lane End Primary School

  • Governor St Mary's C of E Primary Academy

  • Trustee The Involve Centre

  • Trustee Vera Media

  • Beeston Festival Commitee

  • Hunslet Festival Commitee

  • Friends of Cross Flatts Park Commitee

  • Our Future Beeston Steering Group

  • Friends of Hunslet Moor Commitee

  • Leeds Dock Engagement Committee

  • Cockburn Centre Engagement Committee

There are many more as well as being a trusted adviser and supporter to many other groups in the public, third and faith sectors.
