 It was a pleasure to be at Slung Low today to see the premiere of "Bangladesh to Beeston", a film which celebrates the stories of those who moved to Beeston from what became Bangladesh from the 1950s onwards.
 It was a pleasure to be at Slung Low today to see the premiere of "Bangladesh to Beeston", a film which celebrates the stories of those who moved to Beeston from what became Bangladesh from the 1950s onwards.

Like many communities, they were invited to move to fill labour shortages and help rebuild Britain after the Second World War.
