We have listened to the feedback of residents in Hunslet Carr – in particular from those who live on the Arthingtons and Royals estate, and so Cllr Elizabeth Nash, Mohammed Iqbal and I are happy to announced the approval of a £37,000 grant to upgrade to Hunslet Lake Park in Hunslet Carr. The improvements will include:
new swings
safer surfacing under some equipment
tumble over bars
stepping pods
new park signs
new thermoplastic play markings
multi-use-games-area lines and court repainting
balance beams
These improvements should be completed by the middle of 2022. The new investment is in addition to the planting of new semi mature trees on the park as part of our commitment to improve biodiversity and tree coverage across the ward.
