FOOTWAY AND CARRIAGEWAY WORKS: ATKINSON STREET
As part of our highway maintenance program, we will be delivering improvement works at the above location. We will be undertaking essential repairs and upgrades to improve both the footway and carriageway condition.
The footway work is due to start 5th August 2024 and it is expected to take around 2 weeks to complete. In order to complete this work efficiently, and for your safety we will require your assistance to not park on the carriageway during our works.
A ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE WILL BE IN OPERATION FOR PART OF THE SCHEME.
This will be to ensure the safety of the operatives, the public and to enable us to deliver this work quickly, which will reduce disruption by a number of weeks. Please ensure local diversions are followed during this phase.
• Works are scheduled to take place Monday to Friday only.
• The working hours will be 09:30- 15:30
• TTRO for one way road closure preventing access into Atkinson Street from the A61 only.
• Please speak to teams on site if you have questions about the works arrangements and any access concerns, they will assist where they can, to ensure your safety.
• In the event of an emergency, vehicle(s) requiring access will always be granted without delay.
Access to your properties will be maintained, but only if possible and safe to do so, please be aware that there will be times, as indicated when this may not always be possible and for small durations there may be some delays.
Please therefore do ensure you allow adequate times for this potential disruption. Every attempt to reduce any disruption will be made and I would like to assure you that every effort to keep this to a minimum will be made.
