Moor road encampment

The local West Yorkshire Police Neighbourhood Policing Team made two separate requests for a Section 61 Order but these were declined by a more senior officer.

This means the Council will now have to apply for an eviction order via the courts. This will likely take up to two weeks to be heard and an order issued.

I have arranged a community update meeting for people to ask questions at 1pm on Wednesday 21st at the community room at Maltings Court, Maltings Road, Leeds, LS11 5DT.

In the meantime, I have requested Highways Leeds look at what extra can be added the the height barrier to strengthen it.

No system is 100% fool proof and the current set-up has worked well since I had it installed, but it is always good to look at how we can improve it.
