This week has seen billion year old rocks, planning policy meetings, residents open days, and getting ready for Leeds Pride.
This is my quick update of my week working on your behalf.
Monday I attended a Corporate Parenting for an update on how we support looked after children.
On Tuesday I attended Development Plans Panel where we discussed planning policy and updates.
On Wednesday I met planning officers regarding proposed changes to parking arrangements at Aire Park.
I then meet the Woodland Creation Team to be updated on new ongoing woodland maintenance.
I visited Involve Leeds for their Diamond Day, and speak to Innocent Igiehon who runs a foodbank from the centre.
I then joined other councillors and staff for the annual Leeds Pride LCC staff photo.
I then attending the Men's Health Unlocked meeting for updates on the creation of a men and boys health strategy.
On Thursday I had my update meeting as Chair of South and West Plans Panel ahead of the next committee meeting.
I also visited the Friends of Hunslet Moor to see how their projects was progressing.
I then attended several site visits in Hunslet about a number of projects to improve the area.
In the evening I attended the opening of an exhibition at BasementArtsProject which included one billion year old stone.
I finished the evening attending St Lukes Tenants and Residents: from Elland Road to Dewsbury Road and hearing resident concerns.
Today, I supported staff delivery information leaflets about antisocial behaviour on Beeston Hill, had further meetings about Aire Park, and then attended an Electric Car seminar.
Throughout I've been working on casework and chasing up projects. I've also been having regular updates on activity to disrupt issues related to drugs and other antisocial behavior across the ward.
