‘Penny Pocket Park’

 As you maybe aware, I've been leading the work with West Yorkshire Police, Safer Leeds and other partners' such as Leeds Civic Trust and. Groundwork Yorkshire, to transform ‘Penny Pocket Park’ and nearby greenspaces including Church Walk, York Street Gardens, and Leeds Minster Gardens, in the Kirkgate area of Leeds City Centre, to create a new enhanced public space, which will also tackle antisocial behaviour.

We're now at the consultation phase and are hosting a series of open sessions at Leeds Bus Station, Kirkgate Market, and Leeds Minster, alongside a dedicated session for local businesses.

In parallel with the consultation, work is progressing on a mural for the railway bridge on Church Walk, which we have already funding already secured.

Artist briefs will be issued shortly, and a partnership panel will review submissions in mid-December before it is approved.
