REMEMBRANCE DAY PREPARATIONS

 It was a pleasure to help Cllr Andrew Scopes and Angela Gabriel dress Holbeck Cemetery for Remembrance Day.

Although not in the ward I represent, the cemetery sits just over the ward boundary, and many local families have relatives buried here.

I always like to help the Beeston and Holbeck team do this to show our support as on the day, Cllr Mohammed Iqbal, Sarata Sawo, and will be attending all the war memorials within our Hunslet and Riverside Ward itself - and we have a lot.

Our colleagues will be laying a wreath on our behalf however, so that we can show respect to the honoured dead remembered here.
