It’s been an extremely difficult project. The upgrade of the hard surface areas into a full multi-use-games-area (MUGA) has had countless pre app conditions to work through.
The main delay is to prove it won’t cause any flooding and that the site does filtrate any surface water.
Sadly – when Parks and Country carried out the filtration test – it was during the wettest part of the year which caused delays and when they returned again the water did not filtrate through the soil.
This was either due to the water table being too high/saturated or simply not able to let the water penetrate through. As such they are now in the middle of carrying out additional tests – including seeing if they can connect into an existing drain.
