The former land of the church building is the responsibility of the diocese and the former land of the grave yard is the duty of the parish. Following the complaints from residents that the land has becoming unkept while the future of the land is decided, I contacted the local Father and they confirmed that due to lack of resources, they have not been able to clear the land and they have asked for help to overcome this.
I have spoken to partners in GoodGym Leeds who have agreed to arrange a community action day to help clear the land - as have many local residents. I'll work with the parish and GoodGym to arrange a date for this action day and I'll then advertise it out to the community.
