ℹ️ HUNSLET MOOR, MOOR ROAD HEIGHT RESTRICTOR

Highways Leeds Officers have attended this morning and carried out a proper repair to the Hunslet Moor, Moor Road height restrictor as the well-intentioned but inappropriate attempt carried out yesterday by non-Highway Leeds Officers was not good enough.

Additional remediation work will be needed to repair the barrier fully and this has now been ordered.

Only Highway Leeds officers and appointed contractors have the right, appropriate insurance and risk assessment training to carry out any repairs on highways assets, in particular when these cross the adopted highway.

For public safety, I need to stress that if there are damaged highways assets, members of the public must never take it upon themselves, in any circumstance, to try and repair them.

If there are situations where people believe there is an immediate danger to a person or property, they should contact the emergency out of hours number on the Council's website.
