It remember and celebrate the gallantry of the Leeds Rifles in the capture of La Montagne de Bligny in July 1918 which resulted in the award of the French Croix de Guerre avec Palme en Bronze.

It also commemorates the award of the Maple Leaf for the support given by the 51st RTR (Leeds Rifles) to the 1st Canadian Infantry Division in their assault on the Hitler Line in Italy in 1944.

I was happy to support this year's event by funding the cost of the bugels.
