The survey is scheduled to take place this month in Hunslet and Riverside ward, along the River Aire.
These surveys will be conducted by our contractors, Peter Duffy Limited and the River Stewardship Company.
Their purpose is to identify any high-risk trees that may pose a threat to Leeds City Council’s flood protection infrastructure.
This is intended to help prevent blockages and reduce the risk of flooding.
Earlier this year, we engaged with residents who own land bordering the River Aire and any queries have been resolved from this initial process.
Subject to suitable weather conditions and river levels, the surveys are planned for the week beginning 8th September.
