CARE LEAVERS

 This morning I attended a cross council equality meeting to talk about how we integrate the decision to make care leavers as a protected characteristic in a Leeds, and deliver that through the services we deliver.

Care leavers, on average, face worse health outcomes, an over representation in the criminal justice system, employment and much more despite being care leavers making a very small proportion of the public as a whole.

There is a significant amount of work going on to support care leavers and I'm happy to answer any specific questions.
