Leeds City Council has activated the Cold Weather Protocol in Leeds until at least Monday, meaning extra emergency accommodation is now in place so no-one needs to sleep on the streets while temperatures stay at or below freezing.

This goes beyond the national requirement and stays in effect until the first working day above freezing.

 If someone needs help:

During office hours (Mon–Thu 8:30–16:00, Fri 9:30–16:00): visit Leeds Housing Options at Merrion House, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds LS2 8LX.

Out of Hours (24/7 emergency placements): Leeds Housing Options – Out of Hours: 0113 378 8366

Street Outreach Team (let us know about a rough sleeper who needs support): phone: 0113 245 9445 or email: Leeds.SOS@cgl.org.uk

These teams work together to find safe shelter and support throughout the cold weather period.

In Leeds, we ensure nobody needs to sleep rough, but in these periods of cold weather we ensure additional support is available.

Please share this so anyone in need can get help.
