Consultation: City Square Highways Improvements

The public is being invited to participate in a consultation on proposals to transform City Square.


This includes closing the square to general traffic and improving facilities for buses, pedestrians and cyclists. Changes will be also be made to the square itself, as well as to Boar Lane, King Street, Wellington Street, Aire Street and Quebec Street.

Connecting Leeds are hosting a series of events as part of their consultation, where you will be able to hear from the project team and ask any questions you may have:

Feedback will be accepted until 23:59 on 23/9/21


Please note, this is only consulting on the highway aspect of the scheme. A further consultation will launch later this year with information on the proposed changes to the the public realm.

Chaos, connecting Leeds to what? Luckily I can go elsewhere, Leeds city centre will be a ghost town. Traffic jams will effect people going to work, not everyone works in Leeds, people have to go around the centre and this will cause jams on the arteries serving everywhere else. LCC are hell bent creating constant change involving road works every where. When will it end?
