🔊🚨 EMERGENCY ALERT TEST SUNDAY 7TH OF SEPTEMBER

On Sunday 7th September at 3pm mobile phones across the UK will receive a test Emergency Alert as part of a nationwide effort to strengthen public safety and emergency preparedness. During the test:

- Your phone will vibrate and emit a loud siren-like sound for around 10 seconds – even if it’s on silent.

- A message will appear on your screen confirming it is only a test.

-No action is required.

This is the second national test of the UK

Note: a secret phone can be a lifeline for survivors of domestic abuse.

Domestic abuse charities in the UK advise survivors to turn them off on any secret phones.

The charity Refuge has created a guide to show people how to turn off emergency alerts.
