We have now been provided a breakdown for repair and upgrade costs to the building to make it suitable for future use:

 - Recover the roof salvaging as many slates as possible. (Allow for 25% new slates): £100,000

- Clean all gullies, drainage channels and below ground drainage systems: £1,500

- Where penetration in stone have left openings carefully infill with an appropriate mortar repair: £2,500

- Asbestos Removal Works Subject to additional survey: No costing yet

- Building External and Internal: £20,500

- Electrical Works: £59,450

- Mechanical Works: £500

- Within storage room clean affected mould and damp areas at roof height with fungicidal solution: £200

- Lift any size existing paving flags, fill and compact hardcore to soft spots and re-bed existing flag on 25mm bed of mortar and point up joints: £500

- Stone cleaning by accredited historical trades. Brush down, moss growth algae and lichen any chemical cleaning, afterwards wash all surfaces of stonework at a minimum pressure: £8,000

- Repair cracks around door and window including hack out loose mortar

and apply mortar to match existing: £3,000

- Clean external and internal faces of window. Clean with fresh water including all window parts, so as clear, free of loose dust, soilage, stains, cobwebs and smear free: £500

- Renew defective plaster, preparation and joints to existing surfaces, and apply new lime plaster: £3,500

- Rub down, prepare for and apply two coats of emulsion to ceilings and walls, one undercoat and gloss on all previously painted surfaces of chapel, storage room and WC: £0

- Renew 2nr specialised arched windows with diamond muntin’s by removing any existing frame and fix new in prepared opening, bed in mortar and point with sealant, make good to all finishes and decorate to match existing internally: £2,500

- Strip ceiling tiles and replace tiles affected by water ingress and impact damage in main room and storage room. Repair any damage to suspended ceiling in area making good surfaces: 1,500

- Isolate supply, disconnect, clear away and renew electric panel wall mounted heaters including plug and screws, making all necessary connections, reconnect, electrical tests and leave in working order: £800

- Original supply from building not under control of authority recommended new upgraded NPG supply: £4,000

- Replace existing distribution board with new SP distribution board: £2,500

- External lighting requires up grading: £4,500

- Luminaires require upgrading to LED: £8,050

- Sockets require upgrading to current standard: £2,400

- Fire alarm system requires installing: £8,600

- Security alarm requires installing: £2,650

- Emergency exit luminaries: £1,750

- New data cabinet: £3,000

- New CCTV system: £10,000

- New sound system: £7,000

- New lightning protection system: £5,000

- Insulate the cold-water pipework in line with L8 Regs: £500
