It has been a busy week, filled with meetings, casework and site visits. Here are some of the things I've done this week I haven't had time to mention already.
It has been a busy week, filled with meetings, casework and site visits. Here are some of the things I've done this week I haven't had time to mention already.

I attended the Opera North steering group meeting to be updated on the work they are doing in Hunslet and Belle Isle, such as the pop-up performances in the Penny Hill Centre.

I attended the Royal Armouries Directors Dinner to hear about the museums latest plans. While there, I also had the chance to catch-up with partners from the British Library about their work at Temple Mills, and Trinity University about their City Centre campus.

I had a meeting with Cllr Venner around the men's health agenda in Leeds and our plans on once the national men's health strategy is released. I also caught up with Damian from the Men's Health Unlocked network to talk about the next partnership meeting.

I attended the Lane End Primary School Full Governing Board to be updated on the start of the new academic year and what the headteachers priorities are for the year a head.

I meet with Hunslet Tenants and Residents Association to work through the detail for their light switch on event.

I dropped into the Hunslet Gathering Thursday Soup and Roll and caught up with parishioners.

I attended the Hunslet Church of the Nazarene Coffee Morning and caught up with members of that church community.

I attended the Nigerian Leeds Community Culture event and caught up with the communities local leaders in the ward.

Finally, today, I attended a moving memorial service with the Jewish Community in Leeds with faith and civic leaders for those that were tragically killed in Manchester earlier this week.
