Pontefract Road burst water main update

 Due to the damage caused by the mains burst, a further burst has occurred outside the Cemex Stourton plant necessitating an additional lane closure on the roundabout at the junction of Pontefract Road and Intermezzo Drive.

The repair to the main has been complicated by the shifting of the road causing damage to a bank of Northern Powergrid very high voltage Cables. Until these 33Kv cables have been repaired, works to repair the water main are on hold for safety reasons.
