LOCAL UPDATES
Antisocial Behaviour around Hunslet Community Hub and Library: Issues have reduced but are still ongoing. It is important residents and businesses keep reporting local issues.
Hunslet Square Phase 1: The power wash has now been done, and it has made an amazing difference to the brightness of the square. There are still small things to do, and these will be chased. The large mural has had all its final amendments and is now being sent to the Penny Hill Centre owners for final sign-off. The first drafts of the four history interpretation boards and nature interpretation boards are due imminently and will be shared once we have drafts. Additional bollards are being planned to block access of cars onto the square.
Church Street and Pepper Park Noticeboards: We’re still chasing these repairs, and I have escalated the issue now.
The Sun Inn: The owner has now submitted a planning pre-application, which is in the early stages of being processed by officers. The enforcement notice issued last month, however, still stands, and the owner will be required to do the works outlined in the notice.
