On Monday I had my regular meeting with the local management of Housing Leeds to talk through the variety of projects we have going on in the area.
I'm in particular, very focused on improving how we do our estate inspection to ensure that more issues are getting spotted by offices and reports to the relevant department.
Later in the afternoon I had a meeting with Safer Stronger Communities and West Yorkshire Police around our communication strategy and how we will get more people to report crime, antisocial social behaviour and soliciting.
On Tuesday I spent most of the day doing casework.
On Wednesday was Full Council away and I'm going to do a separate post on this because of the deeply concerning accusations and comments that were made from a variety of parties, and need to be called out.
On Thursday I met with Bruce from the BasementArtsProject to talk about some projects he wants to do and about getting the local residents association fully up and running.
I then attended the Hunslet Tenants and Residents Association meeting, dropped in to the Friends of Hunslet Moor, then Claire the manager at Involve Leeds.
On Friday I mostly did case work, but I also did some door knocking with Hillary around the Sussexe's in Rochford's in Hunslet.
We picked up a good amount of casework and despite what the headlines might say, quite a lot of people were really happy to see us out and about.
On Saturday was my rest day for the week and today. I will be going around seeing some community groups and catching up on paperwork before the start of a long week.
