I’m currently sat in Leeds City Council Full Council and as I’m not speaking today, it has given me some time to sit down and catch-up on writing a summary of what other things I have been up to since the new year on top of what I have already mentioned.
Sunday 5th until Monday 13th was dominated by the addressing email related to the poor weather impact refuse delivery and street gritting.
Between all my social media accounts, email and direct messages, I answer over 2000 comments and questions on these issues on what I would normally receive.
On Wednesday 8th, I was able to get out and about again properly and so I dropped into Involve Leeds to see staff, picked up some casework, and then spent the evening at St. Lukes Church, Holbeck talking to local people at the FoodCycle West Yorkshirecom munity meal and to listen to the issues being raised by local people. This is every Wednesday from 18:00.
On Thursday 9th it was South and West and Plans Panel, where is spend the day attending site visits and then Chairing the panel itself.

On Tuesday 14th, I dropped into South Bank Sanctuary Leeds on Hunslet Hall Road, for a coffee and to catch-up with volunteers.
I was then back at Involve Leeds and had a chance to speak to Employment and Skills Leeds Officer who is now running a weekly drop-in around employment skills and support between 9:30 and 12:00 on a Tuesday.
I had a chat to those at the weekly women’s groups, at the same time as above and dropped into the Creative Communities Pride of Place arts group, which runs between 10:00 and 14:00.
In the afternoon, I attended the Beeston and Hunslet West Yorkshire Police Tasking meeting to hear a range of update form Officers, about ongoing operations, and I took the chance to highlight several developing issues.
