day of Culture

What an amazing night of culture. It was a pleasure to attend the International Day of Culture Celebration tonight with the Lord Mayor and 800 other people from across our city.

It was a pleasure to see so many of the communities that call Leeds home share their culture for others.

This evening saw performances from Nigeria, Eritrea, the West Indies, India, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Ireland, and Hong Kong.

Many of these communities have made their home here in Hunslet and Riverside Ward, and across Leeds.
