Residents recently asked us to look at ways to improve crossing the road at this location.
Following this, we put a request in for an assessment for a pedestrian refuge on Lady Pit Lane and for a pathway extension with a new dropped kerb on Moorville Road.
Highways Leeds have now agreed to a pathway extension and a new dropped kerb. They agreed in principle to a pedestrian refuge but said this element would not happen within the next 12-24 months due to the backlog of other crossing points already scheduled to be built.
We have asked Highways Leeds to now scheduled in the approved work and we will keep pressing for a pedestrian refuge at this location at the first opportunity we can.
