NPT South Leeds were carrying out a traffic Operation Targeting Fatal 4 Offences over the weekend

Thursday 5th - Sunday 8th September 2024

Throstle Road, Middleton

Traffic Offence Reports:

3 x Speeder 34mph in 20mph

3 x Speeder 32mph in 20mph

1 x Speeder 31mph in 20mph

4 x Speeder 30 mph in 20mph

4 x Driver failing to wear seatbelt

1 x Child Front Seat (over 3yrs, under 14yrs) no seatbelt

1 x Non-Conforming Vehicle Registration Plate

The following were reported to court

1 x Speeder 32mph in 20mph - totting up to 12 points, which will result in disqualification.

1 x Speeder 40mph in 20mph / Drive Otherwise in Accordance with a Licence / Drive Without Insurance (Court appearance for Disqualification)

Words of Advice:

9 x Words of Advice for Speeders going 25-29mph in a 20mph zone

2 x Words of Advice for people only half-wearing seatbelts (shoulder strap pulled behind)

During the operation officers also carried out

2 x Stop Searches for drugs with no gain and

1 x Arrest of a wanted Male following vehicle stop
