Update: Ginnel between Morrisons and Whitfields

Following ongoing complaints about overgrown bushes, fly tipping, litter and rat nesting - enforcement officers from Cleaner Neighbourhoods and myself met with the Morrisons regional manager. It has been agreed that the segment of bushed land own by Morrions along the ginnel (red area) will be all cutdown and woodchipped. The trees will not be impacted and will remain in place.

This will remove most of the issues mentioned above or at least make them significantly easier to manage. It will also make the area more open which will enhance security for residents passing through this location. Work should be completed by the end of January.

We are in now contacting the owners of the other bushed land (blue area) to have a similar conversations as this is now owned by Morrisons.
