Whitfield Way Overhanging Trees

Following complaints from residents on the Whitfield estate about trees overhanging Whitfield Way, the Leeds City Council Forestry Section has undertaken a visual tree inspection of several trees located on Whitfield Way between the junction of Church Street the junction of Whitfield Gardens. Several self-seeded Cherry trees were encroaching on the highway and several semi-mature trees were low hanging over the highway.

Therefore a tree works job has been created to remove any self-seeded Cherry trees from the highway boundary up to 0.5m from the highways past the birds mouth fencing and a crown lift any low hanging trees to 4.5m over the highway. This work should be completed within six months.
