THWAITE MILL UPDATE

I have received the following email from Canal & River Trust

I am writing on behalf of our charity, Canal & River Trust, to provide you with an update on the latest development with Thwaite Mill, located next to the Aire & Calder Navigation in Leeds.

Following the closure of Thwaite Mill as a museum by Leeds City Council in 2024, our charity has put the site on the open market for sale.

Although the site is not required by our charity to assist in the operation of the Aire & Calder Navigation, we remain keen to ensure that the new owner has experience in managing such heritage as the Thwaite Mill site.

The existing moorings on the site will be retained and passed to the new owner on completion of the sale.
