Stewardship Skills Scheme

Writer's picture: Cllr Paul WrayCllr Paul Wray

The course trains people in the practical skills and awareness to do the stewardship that we are all committed to, to constantly improve the Leeds waterfront by balancing amenity and biodiversity.

As the legislation around Biodiversity Net Gain develops they are also skills that will be needed in the wider workforce.

Participants have the chance to gain six qualifications including safe working next to water, a LANTRA brushcutter operator qualification, first aid, boat handling and a Level 2 qualification in conservation.
